hi, i'm new to cbr's (and this board).
got a desire to buy a '96 or '98 smokin' joe camel 600rr.
question is can you identify this model (or any other) by the VIN? i can't find much info on this model anywhere. pics i've seen show the '96 with 'smokin joe' decals, pics of the '98s seem to not have the 'smokin joe' decals but are the same color scheme. is this model a 'SE', or 'RR'? any idea of production numbers, or where i can find info?
any help greatly appreaciated
andyh

there is no such bike as a smokin joe 600rr. They didn't make the 600rr until 2003. There was a smokin joe cbr 600 f2, I believe around 94-96, When they started having all the trouble with the tobacco advertising they no longer made it. The F3 is the same colors, but no smokin joe.
