it has to be rebuilt back to original stock condition. unless your state varies. then you go get it inspected, $60-90, and the issue you a "rebuilt" title.

best way to get around that... find a buddy that'll let you borrow his complete bodywork, signals, lights and all. then go get it inspected. then you don't have to build it back to stock, before you start to mod it.

some states require a reciept for every single item replaced on the bike, showing the VIN of the parts donor bike, so find out for sure if Jersey is like that before you get on it.
other than that, its a cake walk, fix it up and have em inspect it. the mostly check VIN anyway.

oh yeah, and they don't like Ebay parts either, can't prove the VIN. like i said, a buddy is your best bet. use his VIN for the borrowed stuff too, everything is good.
