I have a blue/silver 2007 RR and will be going to my first trackday come next spring. However, my best friend has a 2007 Honda 919, (used to be called a Hornet I believe? or a CB919?) Anyway, I was veeerrrry curious if they'll let him run with me in the same field?

Would having a 919cc naked bike put him into a literbike class? Do they even let him race at all? He has all his gear, bike, willingness to go and learn, and the money for a good day racing.

Hope this doesnt qualify as a 'stupid question'

Thanks for the help

yes, he will be able to run.
the groups are divided by rider skill, not displacement for (most) trackdays.

there is a video floating around youtube of a guy on a goldwing keeping pace w/ intermediate riders on 600/1000cc sportbikes.

Thanks everyone! Question answered. That would be one hilarious youtube video.......a Goldwing eh??

Well we will both be excited to go regardless, and this will make his day when I tell him. :spin:

Time to research the closest track to Iowa and find its equipment requirements.

Cheers
