So I was at a trackday yesterday and I did not feel comfortable at all. I kept pushing turns wide on exits and just was not "feeling it."

So I get back to the pits and look at the front end and notice "fluid" on my lower. I look closer and it's fork fluid, but it's not coming from the seal area. Upon further inspection it was leaking on the right side where the stanction tube is pressed into the caliper/axle mount. WTF?

Pretty odd place for that.

On a similar note, anyone have a sapre right fork/fork lower for an 05 or 06 600rr?

pic of where it leaks:

If you have the means to do so, I'd just get new forks, probably 1000RR forks though

nice body kit dude! i suggest ebay for the fork in question... or a fork rebuild with new seals/fluid flush ($140 where i live). they will be able to identify the problem part and replace it for you. i'm a big fan of DIY, but i don't mess with forks.
