I am officially a 600RR owner. Went to the dealership, basically knowing that I will be window shopping for the hundredth time but actually picked up a 04 Red/Black 600RR with 12,000 miles. It came with HMF slip on exhaust, lower (good for me since I'm 5'7"). Paid $7700 OTD with a Scorpion Helmet, A* Jacket, A* SP1 (kind of need a little getting usedto) and Shogun sliders.
Will post pictures in a bit, since you probably were expecting them anyway.

From the price, I didn't have to check to know you are from Los Angeles! lol We get hosed here on bike prices. I paid $8400 for my new 2006 CBR600RR in Los Angeles a few months ago. After all the fees it came to $9k. That does seem like a lot for a 2004 with 12k miles. Sick bike though...worth it in terms of the fun you will have. Enjoy and possibly we can go riding one of these days.

I felt that they were overpricing me too, but what can I say. I had 3000 downpayment and didnt really have a place to be bargaining with them. It did come with $400 exhaust, so I wasnt really complaining. So Cal prices are ridiculous...but the bike seems to be in very good condition. Just hoping that the previous owner babied it like I'm going to baby it. I shouldn't really worry about miles right? I mean since it's a Honda and all ;)

Well, IMO, you were either impatient, desperate, or something to that effect.

Indeed, 12k isn't alot for a Honda..

But you don't know how those 12k came on your bike. Either way, it doesn't matter at this point. It's yours, you liked it so you bought it, so enjoy it.

And enjoy it for a while, because you won't be able to re-sell it for what you bought it for.

Unfortunately, you're right. I'm impatient and I was desperate. It's hard to find good prices in so cal...I mean private sellers are awesome, but there's no way I have that cash in hand...but I'll learn from my mistakes and make wiser decisions in the future, but for now: I'm gonna go out and ride my ass off ;)

1) There are plenty of loan companies, ie, E-Loan, Lending Tree. They work in the exact same way that those loan companies work when you go to buy a brand new, or slightly new bike at the dealer.

2) Not that it matters, but....

Man you got GOT!!!Next time go check out LA Cycle Sports, 2006 $8200 OTD!!
That isn't correct at all. $8900 at LA Cycle Sports. The service department is a damn nightmare. I paid an extra couple hundy to not deal with them in le ghetto. I don't like buying a bike from a wherehouse operation. Some do, some don't..some will..some won't.

I bought my 06 from one of LA cycle sports affiliates on OTDcyclesports.com for under $8600 OTD (means bike only was $7900 without tax + fees) last month. This was in northern california though and I was very happy with them. I have heard some sketchy things about the LA operation but if they sell you a clean bike at a good price, then take it home and put a wrench on every nut and bolt. Thats what I did.

If you can't turn a wrench, then pay another dealer that you trust a few bills to check it out. From the prices I saw at 5 other dealers, you'll still be up a good amount of cash.

Hey, $8890 OTD for So. Cal. is a great price really. Remember, there are people paying $10K+ in these parts! A friend at the dealer showed me what a guy would pay if you walked in and said you would pay asking price with all the fees...after setup fees..blah, blah,blah...it was at $12,300!! LOL I bought mine for $9k OTD, LA Cycle Sports wanted $8900 OTD, but they are sketchy. We pay more in So. Cal. in part due to the extra smog equipment.
