For anyone who has an Ohlins TTX shock or steering damper should check part numbers against this link to see if you are part of the factory recall. Odds are that if you had an Ohlins shock installed last year, you are part of the recall.

did you enter your part and batch # and get the verification that yours is affected mina? they aren't clear about the size of the recall, so for all we know it may not be many units at all

All that anger for nothing

I suspect ohlins has very strict QC, and small batch sizes so I wouldn't be shocked if this recall affected a small number of units

another link from Asphalt and Rubber. http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/recall/recallaftermarket-ohlins-shock-steering-dampers/
If you’ve bought an Öhlins shock or Öhlins steering damper in the last year and half or so, you may want to check your part’s serial number as it may be affected one of the two recalls Öhlins just issued for the company’s aftermarket suspension pieces.
In total, 934 aftermarket Öhlins TTX series shocks (including some TTX GP, TTX RT and TTX36 MKII units) are being recalled because the nut on the damper rod may loosen, resulting in a loss of damping and the possible disassembling of the shock, which in turn could create a crash for the motorcycle.
Only customers whose shocks were manufactured between November 5th, 2013 and February 20th, 2015 are affected by this recall. Ohlins will notify owners, and dealers will secure the rod nut, free of charge. Owners are advised not to ride their motorcycles until the recall remedy has been performed. The recall is expected to begin in April 2015.
In a separate filing, Öhlins is also recalling several of its steering dampers as being defective because their mounting brackets might crack. In total, this recall affects roughly 2,827 units.
The affected units are those that were sold in the aftermarket for the following motorcycles: Yamaha R1, R6, and FZ6; Suzuki TL1000 R and GSX1300R; Honda CB600RR; and Ducati Monster 1000, 748, 848, 916, 996, and 998. Also included in the recall are the universal steering damper kits with part numbers SD 000 through SD 005.
Concerned owners for either recall may contact Öhlins customer service at 1-800-336-9029. As always, the NHTSA is also available at 1-888-327-4236 and safercar.gov.
