It was a good ride today. I gotta say from the last thread I was a bit hesistant to take you guys seriously but after today this is a very good group!

I was pretty impressed by how safe and conservative the experienced riders were and the novices did not push themselves hard. All in all, it was a good riding day.

I look forward to some more of the same for next weekend. Hopefully this time with pics and vids

I wanna do a track day, Pahrump or Vegas, anywhere really; as long as there is some sort of transportation for the bikes. I can get the time off. Just need a truck, but don't want to go out and buy one or rent a U-haul. I'll split the gas bill or room bill. Just wanna hit the track soo bad...

Best bet is Fontana... I have hit it up in November for the past 2 years. The AMA course is awesome. Its like 1 1/2 hr drive. If my financial situation changes I'll definitely go.

Its usually around $250 but calculate this:

-Less gas, its closer than any other track
-No hotel or camping needed, show up and go home
-nice indoor garages, and not windy
-Lots of good vendors for tires and racetech for suspension

Pahrump is just way too far for me. With my new family member it takes some logistical coordination to get around. The only solution is leaving the wife at home and she might not be too happy about me leaving her for a weekend.

Hmmmmmmmm Maybe if someone else drives I can provide my trailer and split room/gas costs and it would still be cheaper than Fontana? Doubtful but worth a try. I don't see myself doing any tracks until Nov.

Bumper hitch is fine. I have a Envoy XUV (frame hitch) but I cant feel the damn thing back there at all.

When I used to have a 2 car garage I used to pull and push this thing up and down a steep driveway to get it on the hitch.

Just changed the oil today. Put in a little too much so I just came up from draining some more.

I don't know if this is normal or just b/c everytime I open up the scott's filter I get to see nasty stuff but there was a lot of metal shavings this time around in the filter. Better in there than in the engine but it made me curious.

Oh man you guys missed it... best group ride ever!!!! The road was so hot the tires were literally melting without even running them. No cars, gravel, or downed bikers. Truly a day to remember.
