Hi guys.

Do you know if a Power Commander for a CBR 600 05-06 would work on my 07?
Found one at a good price, even has a O2 eliminator(oxygen optimizer or whatever its called) which is needed... or at least says so on the official PC page.

I wouldn't want to rush into buying it just to find out that it does not work.
On the PC page says that it isn't the same part: 117-411 for 05-06, and 127-411 for 07-08

Thanks

Nope no go mate,

Different harnesses for the two. Square plug round hole, you need one made for your year model.

Nico, I am going to have to disagree with you on that.

You can run a PC3 across years 2003-2008. I cannot comment on the 09-10 as I have not personally tried it.

I am running a PC3 from an 03 on my 07 for reference.

The only difference is the software, the maps. Just make sure to run the appropriate one for you year/exhaust make. You'll have to copy and past the tables in though. You cannot directly import the maps to the PC3 from your computer.

As for the O2 optimizer (simulator/eliminator?) I'm not sure if the Euro models even have o2 sensors. I see it listed on Dynojets website but I see no mention of it elsewhere, in the install manual or anywhere to buy it on the site. Between 03-06 and 07/08 different part numbers 76423005/76423008 respectively, but I would wager its just a marketing ploy. I know that the o2 sensor is the same between 03-06 on the models that have them.

If for some reason you do need that specific o2 sensor eliminator, it can be had for $15. Its the same as the one used on the 1000rr.

^It appears to just be a resistor heat wrapped on an OEM connector. Save yourself $14v

Well there you go, I stand corrected :)

I was under the impression that the box itself was the same, but the harness for the two bikes different enough that you couldn't run the wrong one for your model.

Did you have to modify it at all or did it all just plug in no probs?

The guy that's selling it,said that he had it installed on his 07. also. Didn't know whether it would function properly or not...

In the end we agreed on the price- I was so happy, expecting that it would be mine -it was already a done deal... but he called me an hour later and told me that he previously put the PC through a friend on Ebay, and that he has to wait untill the auction expires...

Hope no one bids... :)))
