right what happened was... just about to get on my bike to go to the mrs house... alarm wouldn't respond to key fob.. then it decided to but wouldnt light up indicators ( like it normally would ) then i turn on the key and the fuel pump didn't prime but i tried to start it anyway.. no luck... then i tried the stop switch on and off a few times but still no fuel pump prime... so then i tried to find this "plug" that everyone was on a bout with the two wires to get DTC but i cannot find mine... the only plug i can find has 5 wires to it... anyways then i decide to have a look for stuff... found out that the PGM-FI fuse was gone... so i put in the spare one... that blew straight away and ive just had enough and cant be arsed with all the guess work id just rather know what to look for now being as this has to be the worst xmas day in my whole entire life :|

does the bike crank? do the light's work with the key on, including the signals? these symptom's sound like a bad kick stand switch, kill switch or tip over sensor due to lack of fuel pump priming. the signal's not working and fuse blowing..............., not so much.
if the fuse is blowing, then you have a short to ground some where ( power going to ground ). hate to say it but you may have to start stripping the tap off the harness to find it.

first do a visual inspection of the bike. if you've done any work to the bike recentlly, start there. if you come up with nothing, what can do is get a flasher , like the one used for your turn signals. you put the flasher in place of the fuse. then you can use a test light to start "probeing" the harness. you have to be able to follow the circuit from the fuse that keep's blowing. this will be a lot of work. i would be sure to check any areas you've worked in, or any mod's you've installed.

you might want to start with disconnecting the alarm. see what happen's. if you do have to start getting into the harness, YOU NEED A WIRING DIAGRAHM. the service manual will be a must for this. i hope it's something simple. let use know what you find, and start with the simple stuff first. good luck, and Merry Christmas back at ya. I reversed the bank angle sensor when I pulled my headlight assembly apart. Boy did I feel like an ass. Check that first!
