I'll bet most of us on here can come to a complete stop without putting a foot down.

I don't do it a lot...but occasionaly I will come to a COMPLETE stop at a stop sign without putting a foot down...balance it there for a second, and pull away at a normal pace.

So I do this a couple of days ago and a LEO pulls me over and warns me that its illegal to do that and lets me go. He was fairly cool about it so this is NOT a LEO bashing thread

But......what the hell ?!?!?!?!? I stopped !!!

This is Oregon were talking here...is it the same for your location/state?

Just exactly how long does one have to stay "stopped" ??? Anybody else been warned or ticketed on this?

*slips flamesuit on* :flamethrower:yeah yeah..I get it..always be safe and put it down

I've always been fully aware that the definition of stopping on a motorcycle means both feet down (they'll deduct points on the driving test for not doing it).

I don't do it unless there is a cop in sight.

Take it as a lesson learned. I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find it in written form.
