I know there are a crap load of threads about HIDs, but I cannot find what I am looking for. I plan to install 35W 6000K from DDM and I plan to run a SPST switch on my low beam power supply.

Question: What current rating do these HIDs operate at startup? I know under normal conditions, they operate at 35W/12V = ~3 A. But on startup, the current spikes. I have a 15A toggle switch. I assume this will work, but I want to be 100% sure before I install. Will a 15A switch work?

Should be fine. DDM's HIDs wouldn't blow a 15A fuse. My guess is they spike to about 6A at the very maximum.

im pretty sure most of us use 12V rocker switches. I personally do not, cuz i have these tiny lil rockers, but I dont remember the exact specs. when I get a chance ill update

Straight from the DDM website:
Fully digital, draws less than 6 amps at start up and 3.4 amps at normal operating temperature.
