i checked on a craigslist and this guy was selling a title for 800.00 bucks. It saids that you can buy a bike that's with salvage or no title and register through the new title. Is this possible?

No, titles are not to be sold for illegal purposes as such. One title goes with one bike, it is illegal to sell a govt. document like that just as it is illegal to try and pass it off as the title to a different vehicle. There are harsh penalties for comitting such a crime.

Titles here have VIN numbers on them and have to match. You would have to phony up the title pretty good anyways....waste of money and time even trying. Not that I support this, but people buy frames off sleaze-bay for like 2 grand and use that vin....They are all committing crimes and as a used bike buyer occasionally, it pisses me off!

What's wrong with Craigslist? I sell on there all the time, and buy a lot as well. Never a bad experience yet.

It would be an illegal transaction, if someone purchases the title they can use the vin on the title to get a stolen bike and make it legal. If the authorities get wind of that Post someone is in trouble.
