How much of a difference is there to go to a lower profile front tire? Like a 120/60/17 instead of a 120/70/17?

yes, drastic indeed, our bikes were designed with the 120/70 tire profile, to change to another profile will affect our bikes legendary handling characteristics it could be for the worse.

well it doesn't change a thing though, what if for an instance you needed to avoid something & the only course of action to take is to lean the bike far down as possible, if the profile is not correct the bike could still push forward to the direction of the object you're trying to avoid.

wouldn't it be nice to know you can count on your bike to get you out of trouble rather than cursing the bike after you dropped it b'coz you used the wrong tire?

are you changing the tires for aesthetic reasons? 60 series is yesterday's news & besides a lower tire profile makes the wheels prone to damage on bumps.

apparently the contact poatch is smaller on the 60 profile tire. The rest of the issues can be adjusted out using the suspension adjustments. is all this worth it if you wreck your bike when your front end washes out due to the smaller contact patch?

I run a 60 series up front, never had a prob. with grip(Pilot Powers). The turn in is diffently faster and a bit nervous, get a 70, better city riding.
