Hey guys-- how can I can tell if my exhaust is race or street. I bought my bike w/ a Jardine RT-one exhaust already on it and I don't see any markings anywhere that specify street or race. I've just had several people tell me it sounds like a race exhaust and at higher rpm's it's FREAKIN' loud! I like it- 'cause in the mtns poured in a turn at 10k rpm it is screaming- but I don't want any trouble out of the good ole' "boys in blue". Thanks!

Dude your in Ga. With straight piped Z71's running around, glass packed mustangs and god knows what else. I wouldn't worry about cops.

But FYI usually "race pipes" will have a marking that says "not for street use" or something of that nature.

Well- the only reason I ask--- I had an F4i before I got my RR that had a Scorpion exhaust on it. It wasn't near as loud as this Jardine- but I had a GSP stop me one afternoon b/c he said it "sounded" like I took off from the redlight too "hot". He didn't even issue me a warning- he just said to slow down and be careful. I "buzzed" by one of my co-workers the other day - ( on a Harley ) and he said I scared the crap out of him b/c my exhaust note is blistering loud. You've got a point, though. I've heard some pretty noisy jacked up 4-wheel drives in my neck of the woods.
