RED PAINT?
LET ME START OF BY SAYING THIS SITE IS THE MOST INFORMATIVE SITE FOR 600RR IVE CAME ACROSS!
MY QUESTION IS THIS,
I WANTED REMOVE THE DECALS ON THE TANK AND GET IT ALL REPAINTED IN THE ORIGINAL RED. I CALLED MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY DONT CARRY THE PAINT. I VISITED A PAINT SHOP, AND THEY SAID IT WOULD BE CHEAPER AND EASIER IF I FOUND A CAR WITH THE SAME COLOR PAINT, AND JUST BUY THAT.
I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YALL HAVE GOTTEN YOUR TANKS PAINTED, AND WHERE YOU GOT THE PAINT FROM. DO YOU KNOW IF ANY CAR IS PAINTED THE SAME RED?

Whats up ejase, im from sf aswell, I had a lil mishap so i took it in to a local paint shop. They couldnt match the red so I went with a brighter red and like it better. I also did the rear hugger the belly pan and the panels between the gas tank and the tail. The whole bike was resprayed. check out my gallery

the color-rite site didnt have the color to a 03 600rr in red. they did however have the yellow and black. i guess ill e-mail them and ask.

paint code for the 03 red rr is R-157 italian red. I got a litre of paint mixed by the paint rep for the bodyshop at the dealership i work at.
paint code is under rear seat and manual.
