I just did this exact thing last weekend.

remove the tail (seat and side panels), and use an 8mm hex wrench and remove the pegs. reassemble.

it's very easy.

I was able to do it without completely removing the tail. You still have to take out all the bolts that attach the tail though. After that you can flex the tail above the passenger peg connecting bolts and remove the pegs. Its not that much faster but it does save you from wrestling with the tail when putting it back on.

I just installed a new exhaust and I have never tinkered with an rr before. It took me a lil over 1 hour from removing the rear seat to reinstalling the seat and starting it up. Very easy in my opinion. So the passenger pegs should be cake. 2 allen head bolts on each side and your done. It shouldnt take any longer than 15 minutes tops. Dont worry about flexing the tail, I was a little nervous at first but it was fine.

its easy mang. all these guys have the right ideas.

ill add something offset. save your loot from the next
mod youre thinking of getting and dont get it. instead
go purchase yourself a nice Service Manual. youll be glad
you did! youll learn a whole lot more about your bike
when it comes to simple generalization of the bike to removing
and replacing, to servicing and troubleshooting among other things.

jus my .02 mang
