So my two buddies are cruising down the Palisades Parkway (runs through NY into North Jersey for a short little bit). They get pulled over. Cop tells them they were both doing 74 in a 50. So the cops got them waiting and waiting and waiting forever. My friend recognizes the cop. A while back he fell asleep at the wheel after djing late night and drove into the woods on the Palisades Parkway. Only thing saving him from death was the tree he hit. Two weeks after that accident he gets a ticket in the mail, not sure exactly what it was but it was because he fell asleep at the wheel basically. I see that as a **** cop..Sorry I know he shouldnt have drove tired but sometimes you dont realize how tired you really are. Anyway the cop finally comes back and gives my one friend 3 tickets, speeding, not having his license on him, and failure to display his plate (he made a license plate mount and it wasnt holding well so he put it in the storage area on the bike). The cop tells him he's free to go...Then he looks at my other friend and tells him to turn around that he was arrested. He only had his permit and in Jersey you cant use a NY permit, even though he was with a licensed rider, and they just happened to be in the Jersey part of the road at this point. Neither of them had any clue about that. Neither did I. I rode in NY with my Jersey motorcycle permit and got a ticket and the cop never said anything about it. Well he got 2 tickets and had to post $500 bail. They told me there's no way they were going 75. They preach to me about never going over 70 on that road ever so I believe them. Oh well, what can you do about a **** cop. Nothing.
