Is driving in the rain bad for the bike??? I had no other choice... it was my first ride in the rain... it was not fun...

Any tips for care AFTER driving in the rain??? Should I wash it right away????

Rain is okay for your bike. You don't need to wash it right away. Always avoid pressure sprays, but water is okay. No worries, your bike was made to take some abuse. Just be careful riding in the rain.

Yeah, the rain is alright. Just don't expect any traction out of the paint on the road (Stop here lines, center and edge lines, etc). And like 05-600-Double-R said, lube her when you're done.

Don't know about you guys but I love to ride in the rain. It's just the cagers I don't trust.
Wouldn't say I love it, but I don't mind it. I've done joyrides in the rain, but yeah, its hard to trust cagers. They can't see you hardly even when it's sunny out.

If it has anything to do with bikes/riding, then I love it.

You can really feel what the bike is doing in the rain, and what your limitations are. Someday, I want to do a trackday in the rain.

I am with you Nem. Some times I find it quite nice. A trackday would be fun too, only talk about some serious pucker effect!

Main thing is to be smooth, don't be abrupt with any movements or braking/accelerating. Teaches u a lot about your bike and how it behaves.

Done a trackday with light rain in and out throughout the day, not bad but definatly a pucker effect. U would be surprised what rain tires can do.

the very first time i got caught in medium to heavy rain...i was like f#ck it.
if i can wash the bike with water then i can ride in the water. i was more
worried about my leather gear gettin soaked. jus gotta use common sense in
situations like this! hahaha

its cool though...we were all there once or twice for some of you's haha.

If anyone needs a good set of rain gear and is short on funds try

they are 100% rain proof --- wind proof--ULTRA LIGHT 14 oz for both pants and coat!! --and they are hella comfortable. i was very happy with them. I only paid $70 for the set. ride safe -

I dont mind the rain either, I actually prefer to ride my bike when it rains because here in Cali people freak the fvck out when it rains and the freeways are a mess. On a bike I can just ride through all that sh*t.
