Hi,
there is a rubber grommet that's attached to bracket that a screw from lower fairing would screw into on my CBR600rr. The grommet has a rubber collar and pushes through the hole of the bracket. What are these called and where can I get them? I'm in need!

Thanks,
Bill

Look up what you need here. Look in the appropriate "cowling" section. Sounds like maybe item 28 in "lower cowl" section.

Small parts can get pricey with shipping, but you can get the part number and order it through your local dealer if it works better that way. This supplier takes about a week/week+ to get parts to me, pretty long wait...YMMV.

they're called "well nuts" IIRC.

lots of different sizes, so get OE ones if you want to do it once and done.....

search OL for "parts fiche" or maybe "pdf manual" for your year.
The well nuts look different than what I'm looking for. The ones I'm looking for a have a double collar on the top that lets them seat into the hole in the metal fairing bracket. This secures them in place. Unless I can use well nuts instead?

Thanks,
Bill

wellnuts start their life as a tube with a flange on the end, but end their life as a "double collar" looking part

when you tighten the screw the rubber expands out to prevent the rubber from pulling through the hole. these are designed to go into blind holes (where the back side is inaccessible and you cannot use a normal nut). over time the rubber memory will keep the well nut from falling out.

Figure out your thread size, 5mm or 6mm mostly, and check eBay, i buy them by the dozen for the cost of two from Ducati, and they're exactly the same, Honda may be cheaper, although with my track bike build it's not proving so but the eBay ones do the job just fine and are way cheaper!
