i decided to wash my bike to today and i notice something nuts. my rear hugger was shaved! it looks like to me that my rear tire rubbed against the rear hugger and shaved half of it off. im 5'6" and weigh 145lbs. is this a sign of something worse? what im guessing is that i ride on shitty roads too much with uneven and bumpy ground. also i bought the bike with a +1 rear sporket, not sure if that would matter. thanks for any help.

:supergay:haha i just think this a funny emoticon

Just guessing but it's the tire ratio. I have Diablo's on my street bike and had to shim the hugger up to keep it from rubbing. T

the sprocket shouldnt matter and neither would your weight or the road you drive on. the hugger is attached to the swingarm and compresses with the suspension. when you ride the tire will flex a little and increase in height. you can try to inflat the tire to max pressure (as listed on the tire) and see if t gets real close to the hugger.

your wheel could be really far forward in the swingarm. if the chain is the right tension and the problem persists, shim the hugger up a bit as said above.
