My bike has been out in the elements for a while now and lately my gas cap lock has been giving me problems. The key will slide in no problem but I think the pins have to messed up from water getting in there. Anyone have any ideas of what I could try to lube/free things up in the lock? I was thinking of just spraying some WD-40 in there...

Any ideas?

WD40 might work, but if it doesn't, I'd try B.B. Blaster. It's a magnetic lubricant that will un-sieze just about anything on the planet. You can find it at Pep Boys or Autozone. Handy stuff to keep around too. I was able to get my sway bar links off my Jeep with that stuff after like five minutes of letting it soak. I had previously banged on it with a rubber mallet as well as a Benzomatic torch. BB Blaster took care of it.
