What do you think a Yellow 03 that's in great shape, but has 15k on it will bring on the market? I'm thinking of selling my bike, using the equity to buy a crashed bike to build into a racebike, and buying a new bike and making payments on it. I'm hoping to get either a crashed or salvage title 05/06 RR, or an 06 R6 or Gixxer 600/750 for the track, then who knows for the street, maybe a liter bike, maybe a vfr, I'm undecided at this point.
What does a crashed but reasonably fixable bike go for, and what are good outlets to pick these things up? I've looked on egay, but there really aren't too many complete bikes, most just get parted out.
