Hi guys, I take delivery of my new RR next thursday and I'm already thinking about aftermarket exhausts.
My question is some pipes are advertised as 2009-2012, some are advertised as 09-13, is this just a case of outdated adverts? Or do pipes that suit 09 onwards also fit the 2013 models?
Being a bit of a newby to the road bike scene (Having previously owned a Triumph Daytona 675 and a CBR600f), modern Honda's are completely new to me.

Thanks in advance guys

Akrapovič

Akrapovič have released a slip-on for the 2013 CBR600RR. It has completely different part numbers compared to both the 07-08 and 09-12 models. In my opinion it is best to buy the model specifically designed for your year of bike. To date I'm yet to see any other exhaust manufacturer advertising slip-ons for the 2013 model.

Haha, like Ry said, go with the Akrapovic. The only think I dislike about it (for the 2013) is that it extends beyond the tail. I've always been a fan of exhausts that don't extend beyond the longest part of the bike.

The 2007-2012 Akrapovic exhausts do NOT extend past the back of the bike.

Once I get a replacement 07/08, I"m going to go with an Akrapovic. Previously I had a Leo Vince, and I LOVED it, but they discontinued the model that I had, so I can't even re-buy it.

Edit: Haha, didn't answer you question at all. No, the 2013 model is a whole new bike, so I'm not sure if the older model parts will fit it.

Calsport

Given your location near Birmingham, give Calsport a call on 0845 601 0986. They are a main Akrapovič and Yoshimura distributor in the UK and will be able to advise you on what is currently available.

Excellent stuff, thanks buddy.

I was actually looking at a Yoshimura that was advertised for 07-13 model, but I remembered being told that the 2013 RR was a different bike altogether.

Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciate it. Must admit, I like the Akro pipe, but not the price!! :retard:

Just have a look on their website at their multi-million dollar R&D facility and you'll see where the price tag comes from. Each application goes through extensive testing to get the best gains possible.

I have not tried any slip-ons yet, but not much from the 2012 transfers to the 2013(completely new design). I purchased mine in April and have already done a fender eliminator and custom integrated taillight. I do know the TST carbon heat sheild does not fit the stock can, but I did use the 2012 flushmounts for the front.

It's looking, based on your changes so far, that the advert I saw for the Yoshimura pipe on eBay would appear to be inaccurate.

Thanks for the advice though, it's looking like I'll aim for the Akropovic pipe anyway
