has anyone used the speedo healer on there stock sprocket set up to correct the facory reading i used the speedo calculator and it said with the factory gearing of 16/43 i should set the healer at -6.2% is the factory speedometer off that much or not

Im pretty sure that even stock, the readings are off...you might as well get one..its only 80 bucks

ya i got the speedo healer was just wondering if the stock odo was really off by -6.2% that's what the speedo healer calculator told me

why would it be off that much stock... thats weird

Mine is off by about that much, and it's stock.

when i'm going 32mph, the local speedtrap nails me at 30.

so that's 6.7% actual error.

i think there some sort of guideline for manufacturers, even cars, that says they have to overstate the actual speed of the vehicle in order to promote safety. I know that porsche overstates their speedo's by about 6 percent. That way when someone wants to blast up to 100 they aren't really going that fast.
