Bikes Under Attack

Is your motorcycle on the IIHS hit list? Here are the bikes that the group has classified as “super sport,” “sport” and “unclad sport” motorcycles. how many senators do you think drive these new porches and vettes compared to how many ride a bike

all they see is the images of kids in shorts and sandals doing wheelies down the highway

The IIHS may have been able to pull this $hit 20 years ago with its bogus studies, but it's a different story today.

With the internet, a story like this gets around quick, and riders from everywhere can mobilize efforts to defeat this lame a$$ attempt to ban bikes.

this is old news. every year the bikes get faster, and more law makers try to ban them. this has been going on since the gsxr in "cool as ice" was brand new.

instead of reading it, i had my computer read it aloud. and alls i have to say is WOW. The IIHS is chalk full of idiots. not a single one of them have any real world working knowledge of motorcycles. How is the GSX-R1300 and the ZX-14 NOT supersports? Hell they're not super sports, they're ULTRA SPORTS!!! The IIHS lumps them in the "Sport" category! HA! Say that to KHI or Suzuki! you[ll get shot!

i have a feeling that the IIHS is a panel of old geezers who just want to sit on their porch in their rocking chain and watch the grass grow like they did in 1920... i can't believe anyone is taking them seriously... but what i can believe is that the media will just take the shock and awe lines from their report, slap in some supporters like, The iIHS has been the authority on automobile accident reporting for the last 35 years..." etc etc. that's what the media is here for.

I think there is no way "sport" bikes will ever be banned. I think all the factories would step in first. Think about how much money they all would lose if all those bikes would be banned. I don't understand how they would ban a 600RR when you can drive a Bugatti to 253mph!!
