First and foremost... I know you want the details so here it is...
*03 600rr
*40k mi.
*Just had major tune up at 35k (bout 1 month ago)... Valve adj, engine chain replacement, sparkplugs, new oil & filter, complete coolant flush, all new tires and chain... etc. Bike runs like new and I love it.
*I added 1 full bottle bout 1 1/2 weeks ago (for 12-15 gallon) of fuel injector cleaner and octane boost to give her a good clean out between 4 full tanks of gas. So everytime I filled up I added bout a quarter of each.
*For last 4 months I've been putting my battery on a tender 1 night a week cause out of no where (litterally I had the bike in the uhaul in morning and took it out next day) and the batt was completely dead. So anyway... I have a tender and throw it on bout once a week.

Symtoms:

*Key on. Lights: check, Speedo:check. Start: Will crank crank crank. no turn over. Wait a minute or few seconds... try again and Starts right up. This is an intermitant problem. It's happened bout 3 times in last 5 days.

I've been told it's my battery... but This happened right off the tender too.

Thanks for looking
Makey

Take the battery to any auto parts store
such as pep boys, discount auto and get it load
tested they usually do it for free

and make sure its tight also if you have a manual test the Rectifier
regulator performance may be your charging system is not doing its job

Okay I noticed something new....

you know that "weeeee" noise the bike makes when you turn the key to on position? It doesn't make that noise for a while... then i switch the egnition kill on then back off and the noise happens.. and bike starts.

So what is the "weeee" noise do? Fuel pump?

Yea... got it... My bike is apart and I'm checking the fuel relay. here's the catch... If the bike stays off for more than 5 mins at a time it runs into this problem... but when I try it after it's worked... no problem

Am I looking at the right item... the relay?

Remember after I turn the bike on I need to also switch the kill on then off to activate the prime... then after that it's ok.

Here is what i get so far
New battery , fuel pump does not prime all the time , fuel
pump relay has been checked , how about the remote start have you always
had that feature and has it ever caused any problems if i missed any thing let me
know i am thinking out loud so to speak please do the same and will
get this issue resolved Amen

Always had remote start never any probs.... The only prob is... and right now I can't get it to not start!!!!! STARTS EVERY TIME!! Diagnosing intermitant problems suck.

The problem seems to be.. on occassion the relay doesn't receive any power to prime. This only happens on initial key turned to on position. Once I play with the kill switch.... it (the weeee noise) is activated.

But now it's working great. I figure the problem is in the kill switch. I'll re wire it and take it from there.

The kill switch is the Problem. Unsure why it only happens upon start up though.

the kill switch is easy to check if u have a multimeter... basically u disconnect the plug comin' from the kill switch... and w/ a multimeter u check for continuity by puttin' one lead on the pin from the brown wire and the other lead on the pin of the red/white wire...w/ the switch on ur multimeter should make a sound (or it should show no resistance).. and with it off.. it should not make a sound (or show infinite resistance)
