I have been told by one of my friends that he knows a man who has a machine shop and is able to straighten rims. On my back rim, I have about an inch and a half dent on one lip of the rim, no cracks or tears to the metal. My question is to anyone is if they have every heard of this process of straighting and rim or if anyone has every got that done to one of their own rims and anything I should look out for.... or if this is just a big was of time and I should just go look for a used rim or new one.

Thanks,

T.S.

im not saying its not possible because im sure it is, but i wouldn't do it. i've heard good and bad stories over the years of this. If you can afford it get a new wheel, you could always look for a used one.
