So I've been talking to a guy with a 2007 600RR for a week now and I'm going tomorrow to check it out..

2007 - CBR600RR - 8,xxx Miles, He is the first owner
Bike has been laid down going 15mph and it looks liek it fell on both sides..
Has fender eliminator
power coated pegs front and rear
power coated exhaust cover(or pipe)

Asking for $5,000 I brought it down to $3900

here is some pictures from CL

http://images.craigslist.org/00n0n_azGtx8kqmeM_600x450.jpg

his rear break lever is broken.. some of the fairings have missing pieces/cracked .. rear mirrors are broken... and both engine covers are scratched..

this will be my second bike so I'm thinking it would be a great bike to custom build to what I want it to look like. But I'm not sure if I should try and bring the price down more or not.. Do you guys think its a steal?? for Nor Cal prices? (im from socal.. ill be driving up tomorrow just to check it out)

THANKS in advance !!

Hmm...I'm not sure if location drives prices, but here in Vegas, '07 and '08 in near mint condition are $5-6K on Craigslist. Mine is an '05 (with several mods - Scotts/Yoshi/Corbin/Powercommander/carbon bits, fender elim, IT, flushmounts, and several more), perfect condition and well maintained was $5K; I bought it several weeks ago.

Any other bikes in similar condition or great condition to compare in that area? GXS-R600, R6, and similar SS should be roughly in the same price range + or - a year, at least that helped me with prices.

Hopefully, that might help a bit, cause the cost of all those parts will definitely add up.

It's not a steal but it's definitely worth it. Whites are getting harder to find. Those parts may be $500 total if you buy them asap online and don't spend the time to find deals. But, you don't have to replace anything. So $3900-$4400 for a white 8k miles. I'd be checking it out asap if I didn't buy one already.

If it was me, I wouldn't pay no more than 3500
So did you buy it?
Picked it up today for $3800

looks like shes been down a couple times.
Yeah its been down but After rigorously checking it out yesterday and today it was all cosmetic.. She rides sooooooo smooth..

I checked it out.. fairings need to be replaced and so does the side mirrors and rear break lever.. Plannning on picking up some aftermarket fairings from Auctmart. ill post some pictures on how the current bike looks like when i get the chance.. I left it at my friends house in NorCal since i couldn't ride it back to SoCal.

Nice pick up. IMO those fairings don't look bad at all, i would get a quote to see how much it would be to have fairings fixed and painted professionally. Bc if ur going to spend $500-600 on aftermarket fairings u may be able to have stock ones repainted for that. Stocks are a lot more durable than aftermarkets... Just my opinion...

I'm not sure were ur from but u would have to call a body shop to check what they charge. I get mine work for free bc my buddies dad is a manager at a car dealer... Deep scratches can be fixed. Just need to be done right...

I'd be glad if i got it free too :banghead: lol I'm from SoCal..OC.. new to the area so I don't know any shops or anybody here =0( But I was going to go for aftermarket because some of the OEM fairing pieces are scratched up bad... The front headlight fairings are missing a little chunk of plastic on the left and right side of the headlights (headlights didn't get scuff but very close to it) and the rear fender is completely missing a chunk.. the rest is all just scratched up pretty bad.

So far this is my priority list from most important 1 to lease important.

1.Foot break lever
2.Left handle bar switches (high/low beam, Left/right turn, horn)
3.Full Fairing kit
4.Rear view mirrors
5.slip on exhaust (prob going with a yoshi. I have a two bros on my R6 and don't like the sound much)
6.CF pieces and other mods

So if anyone have any spare parts from #2-#6, Feel free to PM me

OEM is the way to go: used, new, repaint, whatever you can afford. The little black pieces like the headlight fairings are $5 new, $8 for the rear fender. Order them online or at a local dealer. Mirrors are $20 on ebay.

I've still got my fairings if you want to take a look. I'm 20 min north of Fullerton. A black front cowl would go perfectly with these.

I would also just keep looking on forum and eBay. Fairings especially for these bikes pop up all the time... I liked my aftermarket fairings so I don't want that to discourage u from buying. It's just there not OEM. After a year or 2 there going to be chipped up from rocks... Just my opinion. If u can keep oem fairings for the price of an aftermarket set I would do so...
