Hello all!

I have a 2008 cbr600rr, meticulously maintained but lately I've been having a weird RPM issue. To sum it up when it's cold the rpms will either surge when shifted into first OR drop when put BACK into neutral, I use all caps on those words because none of this starts until i actually shift it, when I first start it (still cold obviously) it does not do this. Then when its warmed up it goes away entirely. Really weird, I have the technical knowledge to repair it but cant afford the tools to diagnose it, once I know what it is I can knock it out but cant just throw money at tools diagnosing it indefinitely. Any help is appreciated if it's running lean I dont wanna keep riding it and want to fix it while its winter here. Thanks!

Unplug your clutch switch and see if it changes

Jumper out your clutch switch and see if it changes.

The ecu uses the state of the clutch switch and the neutral switch to change the idle speed.
