I have had the Tankslapper on my RR for about 3 months now, and it has held up very well to crotch-grinding abuse on street and track. Parts of it are starting to dull from wear, but better the Tankslapper than the factory tank cover, right?
Oh...yes,the center section is a bit tedious to get right, but come on, it's not brain surgery. If you are careful, you can get the side sections to just barely touch the center section so that there is no unprotected seam between them.
I had a set on my SV650 for about a year before one section finally came off. At about $15 a set, this is a great investment. Great protection that does not leave gunky residue or compromise your bike's appearance. At that price, buy a few extra sets and you will likely be covered for a few years.
