Rossi: "What izz diz word AFRO mean? Izz dat some sort of American insult?!"
G
Hayden. Period. And I will come back to gloat and rub it in your faces, all those who doubt!

I want Hayden to win but if he does I almost feel as if he didn't really win it.
He who ends with the most points win....end of story.

I've said before he just doesn't have it. Yah ofcourse he's pro and he's good but I think guys like Rossi and Pedrosa are just another level above him.
I don't feel that way but meh, to each his own.

Imagine if he was riding that crappy Yami that Rossi was having trouble with all year. There would be no way he would even be near having leading points.
Imagine if Nicky didn't have a crappy clutch after Laguna, he could be leading by way more points than he is now....

So unless Hayden eats his wheaties before the races and really steps it up Rossi will take it again. The odds are just leaning to much to Rossi.
Rossi is probably the greatest rider to ever grace two wheels. Losing to Rossi is not an insult....

I feel the only way he will win is if Rossi crashes out both races, but like that is going to happen.
Hmm, nobody thought Rossi would suffer an odd tire failure or blow two motors either. Stranger things have 'appened.

And we all know how lucky Nicky was that they had to switch bikes.. what place was he in before that? 10th? And Rossi had charged from 9th to 2nd..
And Rossi had charged from 9th to 2nd...passing Stoner under a waving yellow flag and not being penalized for it, because he's Rossi....

There, I fixed it for you...
Rossi or Hayden, who cares!

Rossi has always been Rossi, a racers racer and Italian. "I make the pass." "it was a good race" etc etc etc...
He is a dangerous racer, takes at times unnecessary risks at the will of a win.
In the words of Gibernau at times "Rossi had to win, or die today." and in my watching of the races I've seen would agree. He is fast, no doubt there. Probably better than Doohan - with the most respect here!
I don't like how Rossi is sticking his legs out in corners particularly to get the bike to turn in when he's hot. Its not good, and I don't like it. In the years I've watched GP's Ive seen rider contact but not a lot of riders stick their legs out that I've seen (keep in mind I could be wrong) as Rossi is doing especially in the years he has been on the Yamaha. He didn't do it when he was with Honda, if he did I didn't notice it as much as I am now. As I say- I dont like it.
Why- It has the possibility of hindering a clean pass on the inside.
I used to care, but I'm a bit over it now, however wins wins.
Its only a championship. Rossi has always been very fast at Phillip Island, was nice to see a slightly level playing field with the rain for PI 2006.
Heres a bit of action from Phillip Island 2006, with Melandri. Click on the link below.

Rossi and others stick their left foot out while taking left corners because it's easier to pull your foot out from under the shifter and line it up on the peg instead of trying to scoot it back. Are you saying he sticks his feet out to block people passing him? Man, you are funny.
yeah i come to the motogp threads fo rthe comedy of errors

Haha, thats not a bad idea, maybe I should stick my legs out in corners so I don't get passed!

yeah that was pretty sick how he did that...on a wet track....and then takes his left hand off the handlebar.

who cares who wins, i'm done with this rossi vs. hayden speculation. these guys are all winners. let's just watch the races and enjoy the closing of the 2006 season.

^ Way to bring it on home Blue. I'm anxiously waiting the finish of a great season. Even if Nicky doesn't take the championship, I was still on the edge of my seat the whole time! It's a lot better than watching Valentino win almost every race.

That pass was after they switched bikes, was it not? I was merely talking about when it was a dry race.

There, I helped you get a clue..

ps don't want to start an argument i just felt like being an ass.. I can't ride for 6 months so i have nothing better to do then be an ass on the internet..

Bro, it was never a dry race. It was either raining or a wet track. The illegal pass that Rossi made gave him some breather room from Hayden. Had he not CHEATED Hayden might have passed him again.

Ah, no wonder.

"Bro" I meant when they were still running on the bikes that had dry tires (or whatever tires they had on at the start of the race). Get the fuckin point. I was merely talking about the beginning of the race, long before Hayden was right behind Rossi and Rossi made the questionable pass on Stoner. That was after they switched bikes, which is the ONLY thing that allowed Hayden to catch up to Rossi. The passes I was referring to in my first post were all clean passes at a speed that made all the other riders look like they were riding in slowmotion.

comprendo?
Hayden vs Rossi by the numbers :angel9:

Alrighty then:
If Rossi wins the next two races that's 274 points.
If Hayden gets 2nd in the next two races, that's 276 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets 2nd in the next two races, that's 264 points.
If Hayden gets 3rd in the next two races, that's 268 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets 3rd in the next two races, that's 256 points.
If Hayden gets 4th in the next two races, that's 262 points and the Championship.

If Rossi gets a 2nd and a 3rd, that's 260 points.
If Hayden gets 4th in the next two races, that's 262 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets a 2nd and 3rd, that's 260 points.
If Hayden gets a 2nd and 3rd, that's 272 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets a 5th and a 3rd, that's 251 points.
If Hayden gets a 5th and a 3rd, that's 263 points & the Championship.

If Hayden gets 4th in the next two races and Rossi gets 2nd in the next two races, Rossi wins the Championship by 2 points.

If Melandri wins the next two races, that's 259 points
If Capirossi wins the next two races, that's 255 points
If Pedrosa wins the next two races, that's 252 points.

If Hayden DNF's, it's over.

:laughing1
Okay, I confess, I didn't do the math. My Mom and I where having a discussion of the possibilities and this is what she came up with....

this one sounds a little more realistic ;)

so if i got this math right... in order for rossi to win he has to be 2 positions above Hayden to take the championship away from him ?? correct me if i am wrong.
when is the race? what day and time?
Portugaul is the next race, it is next Sunday.
It will be a nail biter for sure, especially since they both run really well at Valencia which is the last race.
Plus I wouldnt rule out a Rossi DNF, he has had a few of them this season already compared to Hayden 0 DNF's. So his reliability % is pretty low in comparison.
