"Bro" I meant when they were still running on the bikes that had dry tires (or whatever tires they had on at the start of the race). Get the fuckin point. I was merely talking about the beginning of the race, long before Hayden was right behind Rossi and Rossi made the questionable pass on Stoner. That was after they switched bikes, which is the ONLY thing that allowed Hayden to catch up to Rossi. The passes I was referring to in my first post were all clean passes at a speed that made all the other riders look like they were riding in slowmotion.

comprendo?
Let me ask you this. Are you aware that hayden's bike has had clutch problems all year? he picked the wrong tire too, so that much was hayden's fault.

But when his clutch is working and his tires are fine, he is capable of sticking with Rossi. Look at the races from earlier this year before honda screwed with is clitch.

BTW, keep your foul mouth to yourself. There's no need for that here.

Hayden vs Rossi by the numbers :angel9:

Alrighty then:
If Rossi wins the next two races that's 274 points.
If Hayden gets 2nd in the next two races, that's 276 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets 2nd in the next two races, that's 264 points.
If Hayden gets 3rd in the next two races, that's 268 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets 3rd in the next two races, that's 256 points.
If Hayden gets 4th in the next two races, that's 262 points and the Championship.

If Rossi gets a 2nd and a 3rd, that's 260 points.
If Hayden gets 4th in the next two races, that's 262 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets a 2nd and 3rd, that's 260 points.
If Hayden gets a 2nd and 3rd, that's 272 points & the Championship.

If Rossi gets a 5th and a 3rd, that's 251 points.
If Hayden gets a 5th and a 3rd, that's 263 points & the Championship.

If Hayden gets 4th in the next two races and Rossi gets 2nd in the next two races, Rossi wins the Championship by 2 points.

If Melandri wins the next two races, that's 259 points
If Capirossi wins the next two races, that's 255 points
If Pedrosa wins the next two races, that's 252 points.

If Hayden DNF's, it's over.

:laughing1
Okay, I confess, I didn't do the math. My Mom and I where having a discussion of the possibilities and this is what she came up with....
:thrasher:
wow so many possibilities...will race day just get here already!
Actually, a correction to Surfer regarding picking the wrong tire at Phillip Island. He picked a hard compound, which is what he usually goes with since he's pretty brutal on the rear tire. The problem was, not only was the track damp, but due to the delayed start, the warm up lap was inconsequential. The brought out the tire warmers during the delay, but as you are well aware, there aren't any outlets on the grid. So, by the time the race started, cold tires hard compound tires on a damp track? Yeah, that's a disaster. So, I wouldn't say wrong choice, because he's been going with a hard rear tire most of the year, but the way the rules are, you can't switch tires on the grid. Bad luck is all...

True but my comment was based on what Nicky said after the race. "I picked the wrong tire..."
Does anyone have the m0t0gp video of Rossi assessing the other riders in contention for the championship? Apparently, he totally disses Hayden, mentioning really only a few riders who "should have" been there based on talent.

Are you aware Rossi's bike has died on him and whatever else caused his DNFs this year? Someone call the waaahmbulance. Hayden doesn't have a chance against Rossi, even when both bikes are working correctly.
ima hayden fan but rossi will take it!

Yeah he mentioned the other Italian riders (Capirossi and Melandri) and Pedrosa but no mention of Hayden. Obviously he doesn't respect Hayden.

I wonder if his tune will change if Hayden wins the championship? More ammunition for Hayden to go all out.
Is that the old vid from last year or did he do it again? He isnt stupid enough to think that Hayden isnt competition for him after the season is he?

Yeah, that's part of racing. Bad clutches, DNF's, etc. Are you aware Rossi is a cheater?

If both bikes are working correctly Hayden is capable of staying with Rossi. Look at some of the races this year where he has finished less within a second of Rossi.

Don't kid yourself. Hayden, when his bike is working, is as fast/faster than anyone else out there.

And yeah, Rossi IS the best (his championships prove it) but to bag on Hayden for not beating him isn't fair. There are at least 17-18 other riders out there not beating Rossi either.

comon, what's wrong with a little Rossi worship? :p hayden-hate is merely a logical next step

Yes, he did it again and yes, he is that stupid. Rossi says some really dumb things sometimes...

It's just because he's cocky and he can be. It's not like he can't back his chit up on the track.

Lets start betting. I have 100 bux on Rossi.

Worship God, admire other riders..... :)

Hayden hate is silly. I don't hate any of the riders, even Pedrosa. Gotta respect them. They're more rider than I'll ever be.

If Hayden wins it all, then he will not have backed it on the track...

I have a hate for Giberneau.. but thats just cause he's a whiner. Like Biaggi , hehe

Sete is a good rider. He was better on the Honda (I watched his Ducati shaking all over the straights in several races). He does tend to whine a bit but not nearly as bad as Biaggi.

Since Biaggi is going to WSBK next year maybe Sete will follow. It doesn't appear that Sete will have a GP ride next year....
what a bunch of wankers. Hayden can't hold Rossi's jock, so stop trying to compare the two. Hayden had a very good season & Rossi had a rough year with mechanicals & DNFS....but Rossi is 10X the talent that Hayden will ever be.
Comparing Hayden to Rossi is like apples to oranges. Two different pedigrees. One was raised on dirt-tracking (backing the rear into turns) and the other raised on road bikes, coming up through 125, 250, 500 and now the 990s. Riding superbikes is nothing like the GP four strokers of today. I think Hayden would have been better riding the 500s, sliding the rear and muscling rather than the finesse riding that is matured in 250s. Either way, both are tremendous riders; two that I would want to emulate. Both deserve my respect but only one gets my support right now because of his personality. I'll go with humility over cockiness anyday.
