Over in our nation's capital a bill has been introduced to correct the stupid ass HIPAA rule that recognizes while employers cannot refuse health care coverage to an employee on the basis of their participation in a recognized legal activity (motorcycling, skiing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, etc). However, benefits can be denied for injuries sustained in connection with those activities. Therefore, we are guaranteed the right to health care coverage but not any benefits
go to the AMA rapid response site to contact your legislator.
