I'm a 5'10" rider at 155lb and I found settings from another forum member (Cling) who has the same weight and tried them out. I must say the bike handels differentlly, but in a good way, except for one thing. The front felt very smooth before but now I feel all the bumps much 'better' and tend to woble a bit in turns. It's fairlly cold out in Chicago nowadays so I can't go TOO fast into any turns but from my trial run I found that I can cary more speed into a turn but I feel like the front gets wobly towards middle and the exit. Since I'm a total suspension noob, what adjustments would help stop the woble?

I'm putting a steering damper on, which I think will help, but I want to have a proper setup beforehand, so I don't mask any mistakes with the damper.

Thank you!

Ohh and here's the settings I used:

F forks:
Preload - ALL the way turned in clockwise.
Compression - 2 1/2 turns out from all the way in.
Rebound - 1 turn out from all the way in.

Rear shock:
Preload - Notch 4
Compression - 21 Clicks OUT (Counter clockwise) from all the way in.
Rebound - 2 Full turns out (counter clockwise) from all the way in.

For starters it sounds like you have way to much preload up front. Do a search and read up on how to set your preload sag. Ideally you should be in the middle third of your preload adjustment. I'm about 155lbs as well, and though I do overpower my springs its not so much that my preload was turned up that far.

What year is your bike?

From your pics, I assume it's an 05-06?

At first glance, looks like you have WAY too much front preload for your weight. Try 5-7 turns out from full stiff on your front preload. You may want to add 0.5-1 full turn out from full on your front rebound. See if that gives you some better front end feedback.

The rear looks okay for your weight, I believe, maybe a tad soft, but not too bad.

The bike is an 05, and thank you for the info, I will set the front preload to 5-7 turns out and see if this does it. Thank you!
