Do any of you guys stunt the dirtbikes w/ street tires. If so, give me some feedback. I figured it would be easier to learn and then transfer over to the big bike w/o breaking as much stuff and keeping my rr pretty.

I'd like to get the new 150r but I don't really want to spend 4k on a dirtbike when i've never had one before. I also have been looking at the ttr and 150f which are cheaper, but I heard are really slow and only good for lot stunting. These run about 2700-3k.

Give me some feedback if you've had these or ridden any in the past.

I think those ttr 125L's are sapose to be way good for learning, very tuff, and they have disc brakes , larger than a 50, but less power than a sportbike, and they make street tires to fit on the factory rims

He probably meant a 150f..I doubt you'll find a used 150r for quite some time those things are soo sick..I say get a 70 if the 50 was too small..70's are sick and the brakes are way better..I also agree with wynningrip though if your gonna spend 3k you might as well look into gettin a f2 or some other type of beater and cage it up..

I don't think my link worked but you guys should check out the 256 north website. Under videos there is a one about ttr remix or something. It looks like a lot of fun on those things and its got to be faster and cheaper to learn on then getting a beater. Plus it wouldn't be as hard to find lots large enough for the big bikes. Ive seen an ad w/ procycle from springfield mo that has them for around 1600 new. Slap on a rear peg for 10 bucks and some used street tires and it should be a wheelie/stoppie monster.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I just can't find any used ones around here in Kansas city. I just went to the dealership and they want around 2600 for the ttr, 2900 for the 150f, and like 4200 for the 150r.

I really don't want to spend that much but I have to admit the new 150r looks badass. And I think i can hook up my handbrake to it since in has a rear disc instead of a drum in the rear like the other two.

I know it is a bit late, but for what it's worth: I have a CRF230f. I got it for 3g's out the door brand new in 05. I see them used for 2g's all the time. I got it to ride trails and learn to wheelie. It is fun as hell. Although I still can't wheelie for sh*t. I can't seem to find the BP. Anyway, they make street legal kits for them and have a top speed of around 60-70 mph.

I am 6 foot 180lbs and it has no problems moving my a** around. Here is helmet cam vid I shot before I had to move out of WV. (dont get to ride it much now) Video is of me being dumb a** in the river and few shots of me first figuring out how to wheelie.

www.urmom.net/videos/riverdump.wmv small
www.urmom.net/videos/riverdump1.wmv larger but seems to get choppy.
