moved to troubleshooting


i have been reading any thread i can find and cant find the same. i havent done anything to it recently and all the sudden the turn signal fuze keeping blowing as soon as i turn the key on. i have unhooked all the turn signals, the turn signal switch, the signal relay and it still keeps blowing just as soon as i turn on the key. i have traced the harness down for any open wires and touching wires and nothing. could it be something else in the ignition , or the ignition switch , or something????? dont know what else to try. PLEASE HELP Thanks :banghead:

Have you done anything to the bike? Replaced/removed anything

it has front led blinkers, and the rear has a fender eliminater kit with small wedge type bulbs, but its been like 2 years and i havent done anything since and this is the first time its done this.

what do you mean by you traced the wires? You have 2 wires that need to be checked. the front 2 running lights. Since it happens with out activating the blinkers its not the signal wire for the front 2, nor the power wire for the rears(no running). If it's not the 2 running(power) lines for the front then, what else is tied into the fuse other then the blinkers?

i have checked and traced the wires to see if they are broken or touching the frame. the front blinkers are not running lights , they only blink when u use the blinkers.

The front lights are running and blinking. The LEDs your using don't have that Option I guess. Still you have to check those running light wires. If its really doing it with the lights disconnected that is the only wire that would short either left or front running power wire for the blinkers. Is the brake light wired into the blinker circuit?

This can be traced to your Running light wires on the front because it is happening as soon as you turn your key on JackDaWack is correct. Check the front wires with the white tracers on them and see if they are touching something. They are 12v constant power and if these are touching a ground they are shorting and blowing the fuse.

thanks guys, i will check when i get home tonight and let you know what i find. you wouldnt believe how tore apart i have my bike, i think i am finally going to do my block off plates now that it is apart.
