Neat piece of engineering! I like the technical thinking behind the concept but I don't see it making an appearance in the showrooms any time soon.

I had a think about that and how you could perhaps lose the front but given that i can wheelie out of roundabouts on the 1000 while leaned over, and you see guys carrying the front out of corners in racing, i suspect it isn't an issue.

My overriding concerns would be to do with hydraulic failure...

I recall seeing this same hydraulic technology in a dirt bike magazine many years ago, probably 10 or so, on an offroad bike.

Would this technology work on the rear? Wouldn't a hydraulic rear drive be much more lightweight than a standard chain and sprocket setup? Is it not heavy duty enough to handle the load?
