Hey guys. I've been wanting to get a bike for a year, and i figured once i graduated college i would get one.
Anyway, went in today to a dealer for the 5th time after shopping around, and got him to go down to a $8594 with an alpinestars s-mx airflo jacket.

The check for it should come from the bank tomorrow.
Now this is the first major purchase i have ever made. And i'm feeling nervous.
My dad is pissed cause he wants me to have half down, but i want it now of course.
Basically should i wait til i have some $$ sittin around, or should i just buy now expecting to be able to afford it?
Please help guys. this is klillin me.
Basically it will work out to be about 200/mnth with insurance.

Not bad per month with insurance. Good price too with that expensive jacket included.

Yeah i know. The price is real nice.
But would you do it if you were a guy just out of college, currently working as a waiter? I want to save some cash to move to AZ at the end of the summer.
$600 less than what i would have isnt that much of a difference to move.
Its not like i have a whole lot of ****. Christ, i've been broke for 5 years.

I'm in your EXACT same shoes. I will be graduating in a couple days but have a job lined up and will be working in two weeks. Right now, until the end of May, it's 6.9% with zero down... so you might want to take advantage of that. If it were me, I would not purchase right yet if you don't have a "stable" job yet. Judging by being broke for 5 years, I would advise against buying it right now. But, it's your choice not mine =)

you might want to double check that. im pretty sure that offer ended april 31 for the RR. right now i think they are only doing goldwings with that deal.

Yea, I spoke with the dealer earlier today about that; it's on all honda products 2k4 and below. They extended the offer until the end of May. I think for the goldwing, it's 3.9% or something like that.
