I was just curious if anyone else had this problem...

I washed my bike the same way I always do, mist it down, soap it up, but when I started scrubbin the upper, I noticed a good amount of suds and water in the 3rd eye. I managed to use my air compressor, and a 'spray' nozzle and blow all the water out, but as expected, my 3rd eye no longer works. I have never had this problem before. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and may be able to post a possible explaination and/or remedy. I did swap out my upper fairing a few months ago, and had to swap everything over, including the 3rd eye, but I have washed it since with no problem.

This might give me an excuse to get the knight rider 3rd eye from tripage , but I just don't want that getting effed up!

I have a 2005 but I never had this problem.
Maybe your rubber seal around the third eye gave out.
From leaving out the bike in the sun too long? or bad placement of the rubber seal?

I remember replacing mine with Tripage's LED version and the little rubber seal there is almost useless because it is so flimsy. That is probably your issue. Take it out and re-seat the seal.

i took that seal off it.. it wasnt even in it's place..
