Looks good, but what's with Honda following suit now?

First the air ram (debatable, I guess) and now the lower side exhaust. I seriously think the guy who designed Yamaha's bikes quit and applied for Honda's R&D department....hahahaha~!!!!

I see honda is doing the side exhaust/mace/club thing now too :-( Not a big fan of that look.
+1,000,000 hope it doesn't transcend to the sport bikes...

Hornet 600 (aka 599) is a great bike. But one of the main reasons it has not sold well here is that since it is made in Italy, the USD/EUR exchange rate really prevents it from being competitively priced here. This new model will be no exception.

Interestingly, since the Hornet 900 (aka 919) is NOT made in Italy, I have seen them sell (year-end clearance, usually) for LESS than the 600. Remains to be seen if these new design changes will carry over to the bigger bike though.

I think the OP is referring to the fact that we will likely not get the NEW version of this bike.

If we don't, it will be because, as aforementioned, the 599s cannot be priced competitively enough with other standard bikes (e.g. SV650) to make them sellable.
