i'm going stir crazy. it's monday and i'm still at work. came in friday at 2pm, left at 1am saturday, back in at 9:30am saturday and i haven't left since - and it's 5:15pm monday. damn network upgrades. i'd say it's time for me to switch careers or atleast find a company where i'm not the only network person. starts to suck when you realize you're the MIS Director, Network Engineer, and HelpDesk.

sorry had to vent. i will say that it's been nice to hop online and catch up whenever i've had a chance to take a break. this is by far the best forum by far!

and, i'm back to work. ciao...

do you want me to have a heart attack? :???: seriously, nope, i don't get jack. well, a lot of quality alone time i guess. but no, i don't get paid in any way nor do i get comp time. yeah, so i was an idiot when i accepted the position. hold on a sec... :bitchslap: ah, better now. seriously, the offer was good: pay was good, 6 weeks of vacation, since i'm a manager, if i needed to come in a little late or leave early, it wasn't a big deal, and a healthy year-end bonus. BUT... not the case. well, i have the vacation, just never seem to be able to use it. since i work anywhere from 9 to god-knows how many hours a day, well, it just sucks. and, if anyone's wondering, i didn't take the job b/c of the money. a friend is a higher up in the company and the opportunity sounded good. i've always sworn i wouldn't accept a job just because it paid more than another. don't get my wrong - everyone loves money! but it's sh*t like this that makes things tough: being away from my daughter/family, friends, no time to relax, and, of course, my beloved RR. there's a lesson in there somewhere for you young bucks!

hey, i can't complain b/c i'm still here. i did update my resume last week, so it looks like i just need to put this weekends projects on it and we'll see... any motorcycle shops looking for some help??? time for me to put the wheels to RCF MotorSports in motion.

p.s. don't worry BT. i'll find a way to head to Loudon, or els!.

I understand completely, I'm in the same boat. Where I just started off with being the Net Admin, now I am supposed to be everything and work insane hours.

But now I get overtime so that is good. Sorry to hear about that maybe you can work for me ;)

Would it be better if you were un employed????Be glad your so needed>>>>>
hummm.... ;-) just messing. you're right. gotta be positive. i could've accepted the 'acting' job in the Adult Film Industry. that could be worse on some many levels. but, at the same time, soooo much better. i always told my wife i wanted to be a Porn Star. i'll have to wait until they start filming again.

anyway, finally got things situated here. woohoo! now i need to hit the road. gotta be back in the office in less than 11 hours. i just want to thank everyone for listening and being here. you guys are the best!

yeah i am sure that we all get fed up with work from time to time but hey it pays the bills and allows us to keep getting mods for our bikes...but ironically working keeps us from riding our bikes..
