whats up fella's...
I currently own a black 600rr and I already have over 6000 miles on it...Now I do realize that it is a honda, and that maintained hondas last forever, but its my first bike and don't want to over do it. I change the oil like a good boy, etc etc. But if any of you care to comment on you're own experiences with mileage etc...that'd be alright

any comments welcome

It will last forever if properly taken care of. I see not reason why you cannot get 50000 or better out of it. Years and deterioration seem to be tha main cause of failing bikes, not miles.

I have heard that bikes are supposed to be able to run as long as cars. The problem is, you never really get that many miles on them. Either the bike is dumped, or you trade it in for the newest model.

Honda is a reliable name in my book. One of my previous cars was the family 1981 Honda hatchback and it had well over 400,000 miles on it. Same engine but had to change some things out like alternator, radiator, etc. Ran like a champ and still had excellent gas milege! Gave it up because I got a 99 Honda Civic. :mrgreen:

When I sold my F2 it had 50k on it. from 44-50 were only track miles. The woman that has it now put 5k street and 2k track on it..... nuff said?

Ahh the good ol days.. I'd say over 30 at least... Maybe over 100 unless you crash it.

1971 Honda CB450 30k miles and runs GREAT!!! I live in WI and its been driven to NY once and Washington state Twice. I love it.

Had a 1978 cb750f with 75,000 miles on it when I sold it. Still ran strong.

I wil probably sell mine when the warranty is up and it begins to give me problems.....but it IS a Honda so that may be quite a long time.
