Its not BS. You shoulda seen all the spam we had daily before they implimented the rule. Not everyone that registered on here is into bikes, some just wanna sell thier porn sites.

that sucks i understand the rule but its too bad an exepction cant be made for you trying to sell your bike. why would you want to post about your bike when you are planning on selling it. sorry dude.
There are a bunch of guys on here that no longer own their bikes or no longer own a 600rr. There are even people that have never owned a 600rr on here. This is a bike forum not the classified section of the newspaper.....

yea but 100 posts? 50 wasnt enough?
This was changed because lately there has been a surge of people getting ripped off. The new rule changes were made to help prevent this from happening. or at least make it more of a pain in the a55 to do it. If you really think it sucks that bad and are that upset about it, there are other sites that you can use to sell whatever you want. I am in complete support of the new rule change (apparently one of the few) because I was getting sick of reading all of the "I want my money or part NOW" or "I got scammed" threads that were starting to pop up. 100 posts is not that hard to get...50 is just way too easy, I can get 50 in one night if I am drinking (ask the guys that frequent chat night) and 100 posts is usually around the time that people start to make a name for themselves and prove that they are a productive member of the community. But, I think the best change to the rules is the minimum time of being a member being added (which is plenty of time to get 100 posts, without whoring it up). Just my 2 cents. Time for me to step down.

Ow, crap! I fell off the soap box.

im on this other board where ima trial member.
i have to be on for 30 days, and i cant post more than 5 a day.
the only other way is to buy a premium membership.

The rules are here to protect our members from people simply wanting to sell something. Selling on this board is a PRIVILEDGE. Not a right. We want to make sure that the sellers are not here to rip our members off so we raised the post rule to 100 and a minimum of 60 days before you can post in the for sale section. If you plan on being a long-term member then it shouldn't be a problem.

Posting a listing under someone else's name, postwhoring, using PM's to sell, or abusing these priviledges are grounds for banning. Don't get caught!
