What would you all like to see in the sportbike market?

What is the one thing (or things) that you guys would like to see in the world of sports bikes? The sky is the limit here. Is it an aftermarket part that isn't available now but you wish was? What would you like to see happen, but hasn't yet? I am asking because I am in kind of a unique position right now, and am looking to make the most of it.

Currently, I am working as a Department of Defense Firefighter in Iraq. It is pretty good money for my age, but I am only home (read: outside of Iraq) for 30 days of the year, 10-20 of which are during the riding season, if I am lucky. I don't think I can stay away from my bike any longer!

I am looking to come back stateside full time as a firefighter, which will be a very significant pay cut, and want to put some of this money I am making towards my passion, sports bikes, to fund my own riding needs.

I am kicking the idea around of getting into the sports bike industry, but if I do, I don't want it to be just another online shop. There are plenty of good ones around already!

Again, what would you all, as riders, like to see in the industry?

Any/all input is welcome.

breathalyzer ignition

a blinking light that says "altitude...altitude" in a female voice when you're getting so low you're about to lose traction

a throttle lock system that looks closer to stock.

Firefighter, thanks for the empathy. Post edited.

I would like to see some legal f/e's and blinkers, some more affordable fairings, and some sort of design your own paint scheme thing.

Hows about a fuel gauge for the bikes without them? I would actually like to see an aftermarket gauge cluster. You know with extra stuff like gear indicator, brake pressure indicators, leds lining the tach that progressively change colors toward redline... just neat stuff like that. Not necessary but neat.

I want the bike companys to look to the consumers for feedback when they decide to built the next model bikes... like the 07 RR, R1, Ninja, and GIX 1K.
aside from that, please dont title the posts where its a luring question that we have to click on the link to get the whole title.

Laser cannons, squid seaking missiles, shields, a gravity gun, and a FTL drive.
Don't forget the Flux Capicitor or the Condom Dispenser

I like the forementioned tricked out aftermarket dash assy. gear indicator, led tach bar, etc...

Post edited. If you will, edit yours too. Believe me, I know how ass backward things are over here as far as that goes. We all feel bad about it, but I can't change the fact.. It was a long night here last night and I wasn't fully awake when I typed it.

Tiny, mind editing the beginning of your post also? Thanks. Also, I don't know what happened to the Post title, it was a complete question when I typed it.. I thought.. I will edit that if I can.

This is gonna be way, way off topic, but this forum is home to a number of soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen. Most of us have been to Iraq and made half what you make while being shot at or blown up. Not your fault, but bringing up how much you make over there is probably not the greatest idea.

I guy I deployed with had gotten out of the Army two years previously and had been working as a Blackwater Operative before they deployed him with us. (Inactive Ready Reserve bites) He was making well over six figures doing the same stuff we were doing, but now made about $55K. He lost his wife, house and kids due to the financial stress.

I'm pretty sure that is some kind of program for when you get deployed to put a hold on most (if not all) of your bills when you deploy. I'm not sure about the IRR and I've only heard of this through fellow junior enlisted. And it does him absolutely no good, but it is something to think about for fellow military members when they come up a deployment. I know I will be.

For the 2006 CBR 600RR I want a high beam button for quick flashing. I want a hazzard button also for safety reasons. I want buttons for a few map programs, one being capable of taking a custom map of my choice. I want a built in gear indicator. I want dual headlights both in low and high beam. I want adjustable rear sets to be stock and come with the bike as well as all the above. I want a button that allows you to change between display colors on the instrument cluster. I want auto tint on the windscreen so it is dark depending on the brightness of the sun. I want integrated turn signals that don't look like an add on part. I want the license plate to be incorporated in something else rather than a huge mudflap. I want a more comfortable seat that isn't gonna cost me $250 plus later. I want more storage under the pass. seat. I want electric mirrors. I want the oil level window to be easier to see and read from. That is the short list! If I think about it I can probably give you more things. LOL Don't get me wrong, I still love my bike as it is. I'm just thinking in a perfect world it wouldn't be bad to have these things on the CBR 600RR that I have now. Oh..and I want Honda to redesign the fairings for 2008 when it comes to the CBR 600RR.

I dont think they're to many companys that make tiple clamps for the rr and maybe some wheels that are more affordable, most sets are over 1.5g.

+1 on the Cup holder, I've needed one countless times.
