Before I even make a comment, I would just like to say that I am neither Rep nor Dem ... I like to think I am in the middle as a independent although I have to admit i tend to lean right on quite a few issues. now to my comment...

I can't get over how much the left wingers play this race card. When will it end???
The last one that really gets my blood boiling is this latest incident the law maker from S. Carolina (Joe Wilson) when he blurted out to Obama "You Lie" .

That was against house rules and that was absolutely disrespectful and uncalled for but how in the hell does that comment make him a "racist" as he is now being called?
I don't understand that one bit.. So because our President is black and someone said something out of line to him, that automatically makes him racist??? seriously?? Gimmie a fu(king break already. the word racist has been thrown around just a little to much for my liking. Understand what a racist is before you go blurting that nonsense out.
If this incident makes Joe Wilson a "racist", then i think it's fair enough to say Kanye West is a racist too, Since he & Beyonce are black and Taylor Swift is white. And while we're at it lets not forget to add Dl Hughley to that list, since everything out of his mouth is against the "white people"

I was listening to the Michael Baisden radio show yesterday on my way home and even he was organizing a rallly in S.Carolina to get the RACIST Joe Wilson to resign. Totally ridiculous !!! And Now I no longer listen to the Michael "the racist" Baisden radio show. It's out of hand.

Joe Wilson Apologized to the President immediately and Obama himself accepted the apology. But even if he didn't... How does what Joe Wilson did make him a racist?? Someone explain

If the media would have pinned him for 'blurting out' what he did during a session, it would not have done better than 1 30 second blurb twice a day. But once you throw the race card in there, all of a sudden you have a weeks worth of interviews with other congressmen, senators, old school teachers, ex employees, subject matter experts and people on the street. Its a sensation! You wanna know why the race card is thrown around so much on the news lately? Because it makes news, these cocksuckers have to have something to fill their 24/7 programming schedules. This is further enforced by the reaction of people like Michael Baisden. "Hey, look, its the race card train, lets jump on it and get ourself some publicity!". Disgusting. Dont believe anything you hear or read from the media.

Its typical media sensationalism. They throw out words just for the catchy effect it has at grabbing the audience. Its probably taught in media 101 at all universities. Its why they call it Mad Cow instead of Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (bse) or Swine flu instead of H1N1 and so on. They do it for everything, you have to be aware of it and be able to tell when they're blowing something way outta proportion and when they're not, although the later is getting rarer and rarer these days.

Well the race card will probably be thrown around untill everyone turns blue and then it won't be about color but about the shade of blue that you are. i dont wanna start a pissin match but everybody unless they are blind and deaf are racist because errbody sees different colors. i personally cant wait till the next election cause if obama doesn't get elected again the media will say america is racist and if he does america is afraid of being racist.:retard:

They are already saying that now...My thing is this.. the majority of the votes that got him elected anyway were white...so how can they even throw that racist crap around??? it's disgusting..

Well they could start by "reporting" the news instead of making it up to fulfill their own agenda's!!!

I'm over it, i just laugh when i hear that now because it's used for everything.

As for michael Baisden goes...I should have known better when i seen he had Al Sharpton on his radio show like 10 times... But being I don't like to judge people and I really liked the old school music he played on the show I would listen to him on occasion, but after he jumped on the " Race train" over something that had NOTHING to do with race, I can no longer support his show. Not that he cares... But you know what they say... "you gotta stand for something or you'll fall for anything" ...I just can't support someone like that.

That sir is a perversion of logic. Just because white people voted for him, doesn't mean that racism doesn't exist. It means that non-racists white people voted for him.

While I don't particularly care for the "race card" I do think race is still a factor... albeit a small one, sadly. I'm not that old, but I can't ever remember a president that's been so widely disrespected by his people and the media to the extent that this president has... at least not this early in his presidency. I'm not sure if it's just a cultural shift or what but it's clear that many Americans are frustrated/scared due to the economy and lots of stuff... but I also think it's very clear that (edit: a minority) people are choosing to dislike this president for more than his policies. I do feel that it's a relative minority in the grand scheme of things... and that the media are exacerbating the situation but you'd have to be oblivious/ignorant to say that it doesn't appear to exist.

I have a feeling that its because THIS presidents campaign platform was about change, change change change. Obama was supposed to bring change. And people really believed that they were going to be able to quit their jobs, sit on their @sses and watch free digital cable on their government provided televisions and converter boxes.

Do you remember the fanatics that made it on the news during the election? "Oh God, THANK YOU Mr Obama for giving us your time today" WTF? During the campaign, Obama achieved god status in the eyes of his supporters. So when this change change change did not occur and his presidency seems to be more about spend spend spend than help the poor ghetto dwellers, sure, exited belief turned quickly to furtive hope, then to disbelief, then to hate. Oh, and remember, one of the things he wanted to do early on (and did) was to cap the salaries and bonuses of CEO's. When he started preaching about this, Im SURE that the 'underpriviledged masses' heard "he's going to take it from them and give it to US!". When this didnt happen, again the whole belief to hate cycle occurs again.

EVERY politician talks the good game... it's part of being a politician. Anyone that believes and dangles on every word a politician has, has a few screws loose. I don't think there's a profession in existence (maybe used car salesmen) that has a higher propensity for blowing smoke up peoples' ass than being a politician.

If you truly believe that people voted for him because they thought they could sit on their ass you're really showing your colors. I bet those people you're referring to are far and few... pretty much like the racists. The reality is that people were just sick of Bush and corruption... they just played the all too familiar "lets give the other team a try" game... maybe they'll do better.

Reality is sinking in that red, blue... it doesn't matter, they work for wall street, not you.

LOL, why does team red always have to take it to extremes and make everything into a hyperbole? Do you honestly feel that democrats (I.E. a majority of them) believed they were going to get the CEO's money? Do you honestly feel that it was a mistake to restrict salaries ON THOSE THAT ACCEPTED public (TARP) funds? I'm all for capitalism, but if the government has to step in and save your ass, you no longer get to make 8 million dollars a year on the tax payers dime... sorry.

The overt displays of public disrespect towards the president (that I've noticed) appears to be largely coming from the right... not moderates or his supporters/former supporters.

I don't believe that, and I think its ludicrous for anyone to actually expect that. But there is still a slice of society that does. There were really people who thought that Obama was going to personally deliver their extra 18.00 a month or whatever that supposed stimulus worked out to be. Look at homeboy from the Crabtree thread, he honestly feels like money should be GIVEN to those who don't have it. Its got nothing to do with me or my views, there really are people out there with this entitlement frenzy mentality going on lately.

It will never end. The far left believe your a racist if you disagree with Obama's socialist health plan.

IMO the essence behind the race card will never go away. if you think about it, it is an innate human nature to segregate us from them in order to signify higher self worth. there is an economic term for this, but i cant recall it off the top of my head. so race is just 1 aspect representation of this differentiation method. social class, political party, geographic locations of residency, religion, are all product of this behavior.

Joe Wilson Lied, Obama just wants to make the Illegals Legal

President Obama said this week that his health care plan won't cover illegal immigrants, but argued that's all the more reason to legalize them and ensure they eventually do get coverage.

He also staked out a position that anyone in the country legally should be covered - a major break with the 1996 welfare reform bill, which limited most federal public assistance programs only to citizens and longtime immigrants.

"Even though I do not believe we can extend coverage to those who are here illegally, I also don't simply believe we can simply ignore the fact that our immigration system is broken," Mr. Obama said Wednesday evening in a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. "That's why I strongly support making sure folks who are here legally have access to affordable, quality health insurance under this plan, just like everybody else.

Mr. Obama added, "If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all."

Republicans said that amounts to an amnesty, calling it a backdoor effort to make sure current illegal immigrants get health care.
