Just wondering because I recently read an article in SportRider magazine that made clutching whilst upshifting seem foolish. Please vote and comment

On downshifts..always...on upshifts i use the clutch in city traffic... on the highway, i dont use the clutch for quick shifting...all u need to do is just let up on the throttle a little and it shifts smoothly up...

I just recently started shifting without the clutch. I also learned MSF style where it was all clutch, and I also saw the same Sport Rider article. I talked to some guys I know who race and they said it's the way to go when riding hard.

I still clutch in town and when not riding hard, but it does seem to be quicker when really putting the screws down.
