Who do you have your bike finaced with? If you are financed with American Honda Finacial do you have full coverage or just liabilty? The reason I ask is because I was approved for a 03 600rr, but having a hard time finding reasonable insurance rates. Thanks

Financed with Honda. You have to have full coverage if you are financed by them. I wanted to drop down to liability for the winter while the bike is sitting around, but you have to stay full while they "own" your bike. At least that is what they told me at my local dealership.

That is true...any institution that holds your title as collateral will always require that you have full coverage and will also usually limit the amount of your deductible...usually no more than $500. They have to protect "their" property!!

reqiure insurance ? (if financed through them).
i doubt it. that is the squid bike of choice and they crash those things faster than suzuki makes them.

man havin to have full coverage stinks, makes me wanna buy a used rr instead. but when my cousin bought his R6 from a dealer in fontana they didnt require him to purchase insurance right away. so when he got home he just got liability, and that was that. he did finance the bike though yamaha corp. but ended up paying it off really quickly.

mbna credit card, 0% until may, 9.9% fixed, title in hand and dont need full coverage but I got it anyway. Seemed like the easiest thing to do and I got the title incase I need to sell it if I get in a jam. It also enabled me to make a cash deal, since they wired the money into my account.

Gee, let's see... what's my screen name... Yeah, I just wrote a cheque and covered the overdraft with my line of credit.... Prime +2% = 6.5%. Self financed = whatever insurance coverage I please! Storage insurance only in the winter.
