Does anybody know who John HOpkins is riding for next year? For a guy who has so much talent, why is he riding for a team that cant get it together? Anyone know?

I believe he is still with Suzuki next year..he had recently signed a 2 year contract with Suzuki at the begining of this season. He may have chose to stick with Suzuki because at Suzuki he is the lead rider with full factory support, whereas if he went to another team say Honda he would be a tier 2 rider. Also, Im sure pay and team loyalty play a big role too.

because he keeps signing with them, even though other teams want him. i think i read that his reasoning is that he's put so much work into the bike that he doesn't want to jump ship just to see "his bike" get good the next year. of course he said that last year so this year was supposed to be year the bike was good... :headscrat

He has one more year left on his contract. He (1) didn't want to have spent years developing a bike for someone else to start winning on, (2) Loves working with Suzuki... Paul, Polo, and all those cats are cool as hell... Can't understand that? Chris would get hammered if he took John out of a race.. What happened with Pedro the other day? ;-) Which contract would you take......

Yea he would be a teir 2 rider at Honda... Look at how bad Marco Melandri has done over the past few years on a sat team... Hell even the #2 guy on the Honda Sat team won...

In fact, all 4 riders on Repsol and Fortuna won a race or 2 this year.
