The track - for me everything motorcycle related is proven on the track. No smack talk, no "Watch me do 180mph", no BS - that's why I love the track, either you put up or shut up. And a 1:27 lap at Jennings is a thrill like nothing else. except Laguna - ahhhh Laguna - one day I will ride you...

I think my thoughts are more are along the lines that I have all this speed and power at the whims of my wrists, yet learning to control that urge and make it work for me....I guess I like the fact I live for the control of the bike. Trying to control it in different road conditons, control through cornering and turning, control through balance...

I'm just a Jedi at heart

One of the last things left that I can do to scare the piss outta myself! LOL! Prior to getting my bike I used to do aerobatics back in Tx. :bounce:

Ever since I was 7 I wanted one. I have done a lot of different sports and to me it was another skill set that I had to have. Like Kevin said though, I care for the racetrack side of it, I don't care for the stunting side as I feel that proves nothing and only damages my equipment. As for straight line speed, I'll leave that to a car.

When I started riding in '59, "technology"... if you can call it that was pretty weak! By 1969 the Honda 750 & Kawasaki 500 triple were state of the art and things were getting better. By '82 the Suzuki gs 1100 was king (I had one of those too) and by '85 Yamaha ...IMO... had set the tone for what we have today. So why do I "still" ride, so I can try to beat my "very fast" much YOUNGER friends on our 6am canyon rides every weekend! How do I do?.....let's put it this way; I have a great time

So that i can be the almighty American Badass!! j/k I never planned on purchasing a motorcycle, it just sorta came up as a suprise. My brother had originaly bought the black RR, then a week later, i guess my dad felt bad, so he decided to buy one for me also. I was actually planning on getting the Kaw ZX-6RR, but we ended up getting a goood deal on the Honda.
