Winter Battery Question

I took my battery out of the bike for the winter and put it in the house so that it doesnt freeze in the garage. What else do I have to do for the battery over these next couple of months so that it doesnt die?

Buy a Bettery Tender JR and leave it on trickle charge. That will keep everything warm and fresh for summer.
